BRYAN ENG

MUSICIAN

Bryan’s unique talents as a jazz pianist, singer, composer, and arranger have led to performances at the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, in addition to the nation’s finest jazz venues. His orchestrations and arrangements have been performed by Broadway performers Heather Headley, Nancy Dussault, Richard Kind, as well as the American Pops Orchestra and major regional theatres.

A New York star in ascension, Eng became the Carlyle Hotel’s youngest resident performer ever in it’s 70-year history as the premiere hotel for presidents, royalty, and Hollywood elite.  He continues to maintain a rigorous national touring schedule leading his three groups: the Bryan Eng Trio, the Bryan Eng ‘Circle Room’ Trio, and the Bryan Eng Sextet. Each with its distinctive sound, these configurations allow his boundless musical ideas to come to full fruition.

“Gliding to the stage with an easy air like a cool breeze, Bryan Eng comes off like he’s been here before. It’s as if he has sat at this very piano, played this song, sung this note, for this audience, right here, just last week; only he hasn’t, but it’s not an act--his easy demeanor. It’s just the way he is--a drink in hand one moment, the piano keys below his fingertips the next. The voice of a crooner breathes from his youthful smile, as easy as the way he walks onto the stage and grabs the mic.”
